STEEL MAGNOLIAS by Robert Harling

Feb. 4-20, 2010

Steel Magnolias

“…the production, directed by Annamaria Pileggi, tends to get the big things right. The biggest is that by evening’s end the viewer is swept along on a surge of raw emotion.” –Dennis Brown, Riverfront Times

“As the beauty shop proprietor, Laurie McConnell defines sass, and Colleen Backer is a delight as the assistant she hires, a young woman still figuring out who she is.” –Judy Newmark, Post-Dispatch

That Championship Season by Jason Miller

The Championship Season

“That Championnship Season” is infrequently staged today, which makes this current Dramatic License production all the more welcome. The pithy, often bawdy dialogue remains crisp and fresh.” – Dennis Brown, The Riverfront Times

“…spurts its emotional juices almost from the first moments.” –Judy Newmark, St. Louis Post-Dispatch

“With Alan Knoll making his local directorial debut in fine style, and a cast of five–Charlie Barron, Kevin Beyer, R. Travis Estes, Cameron Ulrich and B. Weller–contributing solid and nicely complementary performances, it’s highly entertaining…” –Joe Pollack, STL Theatre Reviewer

“Dramatic License Productions has put together an exceptional presentation of this show that features a particularly strong cast and sensitive direction.” –Chris Gibson, BroadwayWorld.com

“…an absolutely magnificent presentation under the incisive direction of Alan Knoll.” –Mark Bretz, Ladue News

“…a full-court press from start to finish, under the sensitive direction of Alan Knoll, who also helps Kevin Beyer deliver the performance of a lifetime.” –Richard Green, TalkinBroadway.com
