Kevin Kline Nominations Announced
By Judith Newmark (excerpt)
St. Louis Post-Dispatch Stages St. Louis is nominated for 27 Kevin Kline awards for 2009 productions, the most nominations that Stages has ever received and the most that any troupe received this year. The nominations were announced Friday; the winners will be announced at a gala ceremony at the Loretto-Hilton Center on March 22.
A new company, Dramatic License Productions, made an impressive debut. So far it has staged only one play, “Doubt.” But that play earned five nominations.
The Kevin Kline awards honor excellence in St. Louis professional theater. Kline, the distinguished actor the awards are named for, grew up in Clayton.
